Commended for his “gripping performances” (The Times), “glittering performances” (International Piano) and “great technical facility and unfailing imagination” (Musical Opinion), Duncan is best known for his interpretations of 20th and 21st century British piano music. He has family connections with Andover, where his father and grandparents lived in the 1940s and 50s, and he gave recitals for the Andover Music Club in 2010 and 2013. The band are locally based but nationally known, and are currently rehearsing for participation in the South West of England Regional Qualifying Contest. With a very English flavour, the programme will include music often associated with the Last Night of the Proms.
