Hattie Snooks
Taking influence from artists such as Tori Amos and Damien Rice, Hattie has a voice and a sound that leaves one instantly enamoured. Described as the 'Richard Curtis of songwriting', Rom-Com songs are Hattie's domain. Touching on subjects as diverse as biblical battles and Cupid's choice of underwear, she appeals to the Bridget Jones in all of us. Hattie writes straight from the heart with poignant and funny, often quirky, lyrics and without pretension. Visit Hattie's MySpace page at www.myspace.com/hattiesnooks.

Date: Monday 27 May 2013
Venue: Angel Inn, 95 High Street, Andover, SP10 1ND map
Event: Countess of Brecknock Hospice event: Harry Bird and the Rubber Wellies + DJs Pomme de Terre and Scatty Hooks + Organic Process + Hattie Snooks - Hattie Snooks is putting on a gig on Monday 27th May at the Angel Inn to raise money for the Countess of Brecknock Hospice. Travelling folksters Harry Bird and the Rubber Wellies present their intimate cabaret of joyful sing-a-long choruses and general participatory fun. Pirates, lizards, cracks in the wall and Basque cyclists all inhabit the songscape. And a beard snood... DJs Pomme de Terre and Scatty Hooks will whet your whistle with some folk-tastic beats, Organic Process (formerly Average Joe) will be keeping us politically informed and dancing like lunatics, and Hattie Snooks will be weaving her musical web of bittersweet folk pop. The event is to raise money for The Countess of Brecknock Hospice, Andover, who provide palliative medicine and terminal care - ensuring patients are able to live as full a life as possible within the limitations of their illness. Staff also provide sympathetic support and care to family and friends. Tickets are £10 and can be purchased on the door. Any questions, please ask at the bar.
