Founded over 60 years ago by well-known local singer Miss Gladys New, her Music Club has developed into one of the best supported in Southern England with over 230 season tickets sold in a recent season. The club presents six concerts every season, and professional artists such as the London Mozart Players and the Academy of St Martin-in-the-Fields have approached the club to play for them. The season's subscription to the club is currently £43, which works out to a little over £7 per concert. Visit the club's website for details of the current season programme.
